A boy aged six with a rare form of epilepsy that causes up to 30 fits a day may be allowed a trial of medical cannabis. Alfie Dingley has been denied the drug, which his parents believe could reduce his seizures, because it is a banned substance. However, ministers say they are exploring “every option”.
